It is used for communication purposes and features an antenna that reaches 421 m (1,381 ft), which currently makes it the fifth tallest tower in the world. The tower also contains a revolving restaurant, providing diners a beautiful view of the city. The tower also has an observation deck from which you can see a bird eye view of the city.
I’ve visited this tower two times. Once was at noon and the second was at night. I think the best time to see the Kuala Lumpur city from KL Tower is at night. The city and the surrounding area will be blown up with the beautiful fantastic lights around the city. Yes you have to buy the ticket to go to the observation deck, the cost is RM 20 (Adult) and RM 10 (Children). And it’s open 365 days a year from 9.00 am until 10.00 pm. Read more
